Man, if you tell me that the Grouse Grind is easy, you're lieing to yourself. At first, I thought I could go at 80% intensity, and still conserve my energy for the long run. Boy, was I wrong! I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack! Who ever designed that trail is sick and twisted. For the first 20 minutes, you wonder when you're going to reach the half way mark. In fact, you see a 1/4 mark. FML. Of course, I took numerous breaks and everyone ditched me at the end.
I finished with a "respectable" time of 1 hour and 22 minutes. Only if I conserved my energy at the beginning, I would have cut that by 7 minutes at least.

Yeah, that's right, I ran with Nike Air Trainer II's through dirt and creeks.

FML, soooooooooooooooo tired.
