EWC - RCMP

I've recently returned from the Nation's Capital, where I've had the most captivating and self-indulging experience of my life. Selected out of the top socials students in my grade, I was whisked away from YVR to Ottawa for a week-long encounter with 101 Canadians with representation from all the provinces. Skeptic at first, I thought all the kids were keeners who would bring their homework and talk about their report cards. I was greatly mistaken. Everyone was amazing. That could even be an understatement. The whole program opened my eyes to narrowing down my potential career: becoming an RCMP officer. In today's economy, you have to think smart in terms of your career choice. You need two things in my opinion: job security and a darn good pension plan. If you got both, you're good to go. RCMP provides that and more: A high degree of comradery amongst your fellow officers and an inexplicable sense of pride. Also, who doesn't want to hold a gun? I want in.

Highlights of my trip:
  • Getting my Vans soaked 4/7 days in the -3 degree snow downpour
  • Meeting Newfoundlanders, who are super chill
  • Shaking hands with an ERT member
  • Going to the RCMP HQ
  • Meeting a band of brothers. Thus, forming the WOLFPACK
  • Almost getting sent home back to YVR because all the boys wouldn't shut up
  • All the boys breaking the clock
  • All the boy breaking the shelf
  • All the boys fucking shit up
  • Visiting the Parliament
  • DAKOTA
  • BBQ ribs with mashed potatoes <3
  • BC versus QUEBEC
  • Travelling by myself!
